O.P. Art, is a not-for-profit organization which was founded in 1993 by a group of NewYork based Puerto Rican artists who felt the need for an organization Dedicated to exposing and showcasing their under recognized talents and Contributions.Uniting their individual creative talent, members of the group have Aspired to and succeeded in functioning as a grassroots artists Collective which serves and promotesemerging, as well as established Puerto Rican artists, internationally. Taking Art outside of traditional venues such as museums and Galleries, O.P.Art pro-vides a unique platform and an unparalleled Medium for the public to encounter, be exposed to and interchange with Art and with Puerto Rican culture.The Organization of Puerto Rican Artists, Inc. (O.P.Art). Is a project Sponsored by The New York Foundation for the Arts, and is a 501(c)(3) Tax-exempt organization.

Mission Statement

To provide for the exposure of new artists and an outlet by which Puerto Rican artists and their art can let themselves be known.To give artists a comfortable environment inwhich the true expression of the art can be represented and self-expression and recognition can be achieved. To further the careers of the members as well as inspire and promote new artists; to educate the general public in what O.P.Art has to offer through exhibits of the talents available and thereby increase the number of serious artists inthe market.
